Down Low (106-132): A huge strength for BM, who can go head to head with just about anyone with this group. Junior Vincent Santaniello, a 3rd place finisher in the State last season, has 77 career wins through his first two years. He's a 2-time State Placer, a 2-time SCT runner-up and a 2-time District Champ. Michael Richardson is the lone senior of the group, and is coming off a 31-win season that saw him win the District 27 Title and advance to Atlantic City after placing 3rd in the Region. Returning after a huge rookie season, is sophomore Ryan Smith, a District Champ and State Qualifier in 2019. Also returning for the Stangs are junior Michael Cate, who took 3rd at Districts, and Braden Scott, who showed a lot of promise during a rookie season that saw him get a lot of action in the crowded group of lowerweights the Stangs had. Two key newcomers entering the lineup for Memorial are down here. First is freshman Anthony Santaniello, who is nationally ranked as one of the top pound-for-pound incoming freshmen in the country. Another key newcomer is junior Nick Torre, who wrestled at Pt Boro last season where he won 28 bouts and placed 2nd in District 23, and 5th in Region 6.

In The Middle (138-160): Junior Victor Dipianta, a 14-bout winner last year, is the lone returning starter among this group, so Memorial will look towards a handful of youngsters who got some time in last season, including sophomores Nelson DeJesus, Henry Lindquist, Eric Morgan, and Cory Martin to step up here.

Up Top (170-Hwt): 2-time State Qualifer and 2019 District 27 Champ, junior David Szuba, and senior Joe Colon, a 2-time State Qualifier and 2-time District Champ while wrestling previously at St. Augustine Prep give the Stangs a solid proven duo in the upperweights. Sam Azzaretti showed a some strong potential, winning 13 bouts as a frosh against mostly upperclassmen competition. Junior Ruben Lizardi and sophomore Michael Angrosina should also show a big jump this year after facing plenty of stiff competition a year ago.

With some big time newcomers, a strong group of returners, and some young wrestlers from last season looking to step up as they see increased roles, the Stangs are looking towards big things in 2020. The key here looks to be the progression of the middleweights and the improvement of the uppers as the season rolls on. It is that group that can make what is already a strong lineup into one that can be extremely tough to deal with. They'll have a few weeks of regular season to get things rolling before the first real big A-South test comes when the Stangs travel to Manahawkin to take on Southern on January 9th. Other big dates include the latest installment of their rivalry with Jackson Memorial, home on a Friday night, January 17th, and a trip to TR North on January 22nd.
